1. What This Website Is

LaSalle County Criminal History is an independent reference resource, not a government service. It does not maintain official criminal records, obtain records for visitors, perform official checks, or submit forms on anyone’s behalf.

The site identifies the public offices and systems that hold different LaSalle County records. Those sources include the LaSalle County Sheriff, the Circuit Court and Circuit Clerk, the Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification, and the Illinois State Police Sex Offender Registry. Links may also connect visitors with outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, you must not:

• Use the site in violation of federal, Illinois, or local law
• Stalk, threaten, harass, or intimidate another person with information found here
• Rely on site content for an FCRA-regulated credit, employment, housing, or insurance decision
• Attempt unauthorized access to the site, its servers, or connected systems
• Deploy bots, scraping software, or other automated collection tools against the pages
• Interfere with site performance or prevent another visitor from gaining access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained through this site or a linked service may not be used to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct can also violate the law. This restriction is especially important for Illinois State Police Sex Offender Registry information. Illinois law limits misuse of registry data, and conduct directed at a listed person may carry criminal or civil consequences. Registry records support community awareness and safety. They do not authorize vigilantism or discriminatory action.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

LaSalle County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the FCRA. It creates no credit report, background report, or consumer report. Its advertising partners do not offer tools designed to assess applicants, renters, insurance risks, or creditworthiness. You therefore agree not to use site or linked-tool information to:

• Make a decision about hiring, continued work, or termination
• Evaluate a renter, lease applicant, or other housing request
• Set insurance terms or judge a person’s creditworthiness
• Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
• Carry out any other activity controlled by the FCRA

A legally permissible official check should be obtained through an authorized channel, such as the Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification, or from a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is general information and does not constitute legal advice. Descriptions of LaSalle County records, Illinois expungement and sealing, court cases, warrants, or charges do not determine how the law applies to a particular person. Consult an attorney licensed in Illinois for advice about an individual matter.

6. No Warranties

The site and its content are supplied “as is.” No warranty is made that:
